Billy Potts is a designer and writer. With his firm, Watt Studio, Potts focuses on product design and branding with an emphasis on heritage and culture.
Born and raised in Hong Kong. Potts practiced maritime law before founding Handsome Co. a project that started with upcycling old Hong Kong taxi seats into furniture and bags whilst highlighting their story and culture. Hong Kong has always captured Potts’ imagination. As a writer, he is interested in the city’s esotericfolk traditions, design, culture, art and environment. As a designer Potts has worked extensively in branding, product and interior design with heritage companies such as Camel Vacuum Flasks, Hong Kong Tramways and Ascot Chang.
