Sifan Cheng is a Research Assistant at the School of Architecture, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). She graduated from the MSc. in Urban Design Programme and was awarded the ‘HKIUD Urban Design Award-Student Award’ for outstanding performance. Her research interests focus on urban analytics in employing multi-source open data to quantitatively characterise urban form, design, and planning philosophy, and their impact on residents’ physical and social behaviour in the context of Hong Kong’s new towns.
