Xintong Lyu

Xintong Lyu is a Ph.D. student at the University of Hong Kong. Trained as an architect and urban designer, she holds an M.A. in Urban Design from the National University of Singapore and a B.Arch. from Tsinghua University. Her research uses urban data to examine the relationships between the built environment and human activity. She works with imagery and video data to analyse pedestrian behavior, examine how environment quality shape physical activity and behavioral patterns in cities, with the aim of informing evidence-based recommendations for inclusive urban design and planning. Her interests also extend to the effects of urban design on ventilation and thermal comfort in high-density environments.
